I Can Fix You: Part Eight

“I don’t understand this,” Kendall complained gesturing to the TV.

“Kendall, it’s the history channel,” Logan said rolling his eyes. “It’s not that hard to comprehend.”

“I’m not as smart as you, Logan,” the blonde said while standing up. “I don’t understand things like you do.”

“Doesn’t help that you’re blonde,” logan joked.

Kendall threw a pillow at him. “Nerd.”

Kendall went up to his room and laid down on the bed. He sighed. He glanced over at the vase that held the bouquet of roses he was saving for the day Logan gave in. He sighed again.

So close. Logan was so close to giving in. Kendall could feel it. It was going to happen soon. He could just tell.

Downstairs, Logan was on the phone with Carlos.

“Are you two together yet?” Carlos asked.

“No,” Logan said, “we aren’t. I still don’t know if I can. What if he realizes that I’m not good enough for him?”

“Logan,” the Latino said sternly, “he loves you. You love him. You do love him, right?”

“Of course I love him!” Logan answered quickly.

“Then go for it! There’s no reason not to. He’s been giving you those notes for a week now, Logan. He obviously loves you. You’re his world. Give him the chance.”

Logan sighed. “I gotta go, Carlos.”

“You better gi-!” He hung up.

Logan just didn’t know if he could be in a relationship with his best friend. What if it didn’t work? What if they lost their friendship? He didn’t want that to happen. He needed their friendship.

Kendall sat in his room twirling tonight’s note in his. There has to be a way to make him give in, he thought. In his head, he went through all the things he loved about Logan. There were so many, but which one would make Logan cave?

Logan hesitated when going into his room. He knew there would a note along with rose number eight. He took a deep breath and opened the door. On the bed was the note. He couldn’t help but smile as he picked it up.

Dear Logan,

I love how smart you are. I know people call you a nerd a lot (I know I do!), but your smartness is cute. I love how excited you get when I ask you to start explaining things to me. You never get frustrated… no matter how many times you have to repeat yourself. I wouldn’t have graduated without your tutoring. It’s great. Just like you.

I love you, Logan.

Mine (Logan drabble for Marquia)

For Marquia!

I hope this is… “Mine” themed enough! I didn’t want to like… Follow the song completely.

I worked on it during my English class today.

I Can Fix You: Part Seven

When Kendall woke up the next morning, he was still thinking about what Logan had said. Logan was talking about him at work? Was he about to give in? The thought made Kendall smile.

Kendall walked into the kitchen. Ogan was no where to be found.

“Logan?” he called out. “Logie?” He noticed a note on the table.

Ken. Went to get lunch. I’ll bring you something back. Shouldn’t be long. –Logan

Kendall glanced at the clock. It was almost one in the afternoon. He jumped when he heard the door close.

Logan yelled.

Kendall backed up against the wall and waited for Logan to walk into the kitchen before he spoke.

“Hi!” Kendall said loudly.

Logan jumped. “Ah!” Kendall started laughing. “Not funny, Kendall.”

“I don’t know,” Kendall said. “It was pretty funny to me.”

The two boys sat down at the table to eat. There was an awkward silence.

“Ken,” Logan said softly.

Kendall looked up into Logan’s face. He looked so innocent, so child-like. “Yeah, Logie?”

“Do you,” he started, then stopped. “Do you really think I’m worth all of this? I mean, all this work. Writing me letters, buying roses, going out of your way to make me feel better about myself. I don’ think I’m worth it.” A tear slid down his cheek.

“Hey,” Kendall said as he kneeled beside Logan’s chair, “you are worth it, Logan. I wouldn’t do all this if you weren’t. You’re worth this and so much more. I don’t understand why you don’t see it. I just wish you could see what I see. I love you, Logan.”

Later that night, Logan got a knock on his door. He quickly wiped the tears off his face and answered the door. Kendall was there with a rose and a note.

“I was beginning to think you forgot,” Logan said with a small smile.

“I would never forget, Logie,” Kendall said returning the smile. He gave Logan a soft kiss on the cheek and walked back to his room.

Logan sat down on his bed and opened the note.

Dear Logan,

I love your innocence. I love the way you always try to see the best in things… Except yourself. You need to give yourself more credit, Logie. I love it when you get that innocent look in your eyes. Your innocence makes me smile. Just like you do.

And you are worth it, Logan. You’re worth everything and more. I love you so much. I wish you could see yourself the way I see you.

I love you, Logan.

I Can Fix You: Part Five

"Kendall!" Logan shrieked. "Stop stop stop!"

"No!" Kendall laughed.

Kendall and Logan had been wrestling on the floor of their living room. Kendall had him pinned within minutes. He start tickling the brunette and smiled when he started laughing.

Logan could barely breath he was laughing so hard. Kendall was sitting on top of him so he was stuck. He kept telling Kendall to stop, but he secretly enjoyed it. He loved the fact that Kendall paid this much attention to him.

Kendall continued laughing, but he stopped tickling the short brunette and helped him up.

“You’re face is so red,” Kendall pointed out.

Logan’s hand flew up to his face and covered his cheeks. “Gee, I wonder why.”

Kendall grabbed Logan’s hands and brought them back down to his side. “Awe, don’t worry. It’s cute.”

Logan’s cheeks turned even more red and he looked down. He noticed that Kendall still had ahold of his hands. Logan smiled and ran his thumb over the back of Kendall’s hand. He looked up to see the smile he loved so much and a pair of bright green eyes looking at him.

“I love you, Logan,” Kendall said softly.

“I love you, too,” Logan said. “You know that, Kendall.”

There was a silence. Kendall decided to speak up.

“You know that I won’t give up, right?”

Logan sighed. “You’re so stubborn.”

“But things usually work out for me,” Kendall said smiling.

Logan smiled and rolled his eyes. He walked up to his room. When he opened his door, he was shocked to see a rose and note on his bed. When had Kendall put them there? “Kendall, Kendall, Kendall.” He sighed and smiled as he added the rose to the rest and picked up the note.

Dear Logan,

Your laugh is probably the cutest, most adorable thing I’ve ever heard. I do whatever I can to hear it. I love it so much. It makes me laugh, too. It’s so cute. Just like you.

Just know I won’t give up.

I love you, Logan

I Can Fix You: Part Four

Logan made sure to avoid Kendall the next day. Of course he loved Kendall, but he didn’t think that Kendall would be happy in the relationship. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t see himself like Kendall did. He couldn’t see the amazing smile, the sparkling eyes, or the soft lips.

Logan sighed and opened the door a little. He peaked into the hallway to make sure Kendall wasn’t there. He heard the sound of a guitar floating down the hall. The sound led him to Kendall’s door and he pressed his ear against it.

I don’t know why you always get so insecure. I wish you could see what I see when you’re looking in the mirror. And why won’t you believe me when I say that to me get you more beautiful every day.”

Logan couldn’t fight the smile that crept onto his face.

Kendall knew Logan was standing outside his door while he was singing. He could see the brunette’s feet through the crack at the bottom.

Logan had been avoiding him all day and Kendall couldn’t blame him. He needed time.

Kendall sighed and decided to talk to him. He got up and walked to Logan’s room. He put the note and rose on Logan’s bed. He ran downstairs.

“Logan,” he said as he grabbed Logan’s shoulder, “wait.”

“What?” Logan asked a little harsher than he meant to.

“I understand that you’re not ready for a relationship,” Kendall said. “But please, don’t avoid me. At least talk to me.”

“I wasn’t avoiding you,” Logan fibbed.

“That’s a lie, Logan, and you know it.”

Logan sighed. “I’ve just been trying to see myself the way you do, Kendall.” He ran his hand through his hair. “I’ll be in my room.” He hesitated, but leaned in to kiss Kendall on the cheek. The blonde smiled.

Logan went back to his room and noticed the note and rose. He picked up the rose to add it to the others in the vase as he read the note.

Dear Logan,

Your dimples are so adorable. I’ve never seen dimples like yours. They make me smile. I love doing stupid things just to make you smile or laugh so I can see them. Those two little dimples can make my entire day. They make me smile. Just like you do.

I love you, Logan.
